At this event we wanted to understand which aspects of their supply chain, apart from pricing, was most important to construction buyers, and asked them to choose from four options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We surveyed over 500 procurement professionals in the construction industry about what was most important to them when considering suppliers. Here are the results\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s clear from the results that all four considerations are important to buyers. They expect their suppliers to be transparent, offer a high availability of products and services, and provide exceptional customer service at all points of the customer journey. Unsurprisingly, sustainability is an important factor as an increasing number of construction firms commit to delivering a zero carbon, zero waste built environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most popular choice buyers selected was transparency. Many buyers felt that clear communication and timely updates at every stage was integral for their day-to-day operations. A lack of communication can cause many issues such as higher costs and deadlines not being met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By a small percentage, availability took second place as being the most important aspect of their supply chain. Buyers felt that many construction projects are hampered due to unavailability issues of material and construction equipment.
